Faye & Andrew // The Boathouse, Norfolk
The Boathouse is set in 11 acres of beautiful parkland on the banks of the enchanting Ormesby Broad. Early to arrive, I was eager to wonder the area and familiarise myself with the venue. After meeting the wonderful Faye (the bride to be), and her lovely bridesmaids, as well as Stephanie of Stephanie Alexandra Hair & Makeup Artist, I began to exploring The Boathouse.
The ceremony was to take place outside on the decking, overlooking the water, surrounded by trees and wildlife. What a view!
The Boathouse also offer a luxury bed and breakfast service in the main building or guests can stay in one of their amazing woodland lodges.
Back to the bridal preparations, to capture some smiles, some laughs and even some tears. I absolutely love capturing these special moments of natural emotion and believe it is of the upmost importance to document them.
Guests began to arrive and make their way to the decking where the groom and groomsmen were waiting to greet them.
The ceremony took place, as mentioned before, on the decking of The Boathouse, overlooking the picturesque Ormesby Broad. Attention was soon diverted from the scenery as Faye and her bridal party entered the ceremony.
The sun continued to shine as the drinks reception unfolded at the water’s edge. Drinks were flowing, guests laughing and having a good time.
Time for food and a wonderfully cooked roast dinner was placed in front of me. After filling up on chicken and potatoes, it was time to head back to the wedding breakfast for speeches. The speeches were short, but by no means disappointing. Some truly heart-felt words spoken.
The dancing went on late into the evening, with more guests arriving, a photo booth and a superb DJ.
In all a fantastic evening enjoyed by all!
